Kristiina Lahde Criss-Cross at Open Studio




Kristiina Lahde’s exhibition Criss-Cross opens tonight at Open Studio from 7-9 PM. The exhibition is the result of her visiting artist residency there. There will be an artist talk starting at 6PM prior to the reception.The exhibition continues until June 22.

Instant Coffee - The Hero, the Villain, the Salesman, the Parent, a Sidekick and a Servant at Teck Gallery




Instant Coffee’s new installation The Hero, the Villain, the Salesman, the Parent, a Sidekick and a Servant is opening tonight at Simon Fraser University's Teck Gallery, on the ground floor of the Harbour Centre in Vancouver. The installation will act as a stage for social interaction within a contemporary art context. The exhibition will be up May 11, 2013 until April 27, 2014.

The reception is tonight, Wednesday May 15, from 6 - 8.

Jayce Salloum in The Biography of Images: Parallel Biographies at the Audain Gallery



Jayce Salloum is part of the exhibition The Biography of Images: Parallel Biographies at the Audain Gallery at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver that opens on May 8th at 7pm. The show is curated by Sabine Bitter and Ruth Horak and other artists included are Thomas Freiler, Krüger & Pardeller, Tatiana Lecomte, Christian Mayer, Sissa Micheli, and Anita Witek, Arni Haraldsson, Tim Lee, Kyla Mallett, Kevin Schmidt, and Elizabeth Zvonar. 

Jayce is giving an artist talk along with Arni Haraldsson on July 18th at 6 pm. The exhibit continues until August 17th

Dave Dyment in CAFKA @ The Walper Hotel


Dave Dyment's new work The Morning Has Gold in Its Mouth is part of a group exhibition CAFKA@ The Walper Hotel in Waterloo which opened yesterday. The show also includes works from Laura De Decker, Manuela Lalic, Tor Lukasic-Foss, Ellen Moffat, Janet Morton, Daniel Olson, and Stephanie Vegh. More information is on Dave's blog.
