Roula Partheniou's exhibition, five o'clock shadow at Convenience Gallery is a must see.
It transforms the gallery into a reduced and distorted mirror image of itself. A group of objects are arranged, copied, reversed, and reflected in various shades of gray.
Convenience Gallery is 24/7 window gallery located at 58 Lansdowne Avenue at Seaforth Avenue, one block North of Queen in Toronto.
The exhibition runs from May 21 to July 19.

Liss Platt wins 2012 Hamilton Arts Award and Exhibits at Rodman Hall
Congratulations to Liss Platt who is the 2012 City of Hamilton Visual Arts Award recipient in the established category. Liss also currently has an exhibition, You Can't Get There From Here at Rodman Hall in St. Catharines. The exhibition continues until September 16. There is a reception on May 24 from 7 - 9 PM.

New Publication by Bill Burns
Dogs and Boats and Airplanes told in the form of Ivan the Terrible a new book work by Bill Burns has just been published as a 192 hardbound edition by Space Poetry in Copenhagen, Denmark. Burns has also recently been awarded a fellowship from the Kone Foundation in Helsinki, Finland to work on his new project called a Brownnoser's Story.

Michael Dumontier at Plug In ICA

This Friday January 27 from 7 - 11 PM, A Moon or a Button, a solo exhibition of work by Michael Dumontier opens at Plug In ICA in Winnipeg. The exhibition is curated by Micah Lexier who has also curated a companion exhibition at Plug In, Like Minded featuring works by more than 30 artists that share interests and sensibilities with Dumontier. Several MKG127 artists are included in this exhibition : Dave Dyment, Ken Nicol, Roula Partheniou, Joy Walker and Laurel Woodcock. Both exhibitions continue until March 25. Michael Dumontier's next exhibition at MKG127 is scheduled to open on March 17, 2012.
