Bill Burns Busy in Europe
This summer, Bill Burns will be working on three new projects in Amsterdam, Barcelona and London.
The first event is in Amsterdam, where Bill's work will be on the covers and throughout two issues of Kunstlicht. Based on the theme of the artists' personae, the double issues will be launched on May 18th at the Poetry Theatre Purdu, Amsterdam.
Bill is spending July as an Artist-in-Residence at the Davis Museum in Barcelona. The Museum combines the idea of ready-made and that of a cultural institution. He will be going research about contemporary networks related to post war avant-garde traditions. Bill has done a previous project with Davis Museum, which can be seen here.
Finally in August, Bill will be producing a series of new works for the Wavelength radio on Resonance FM in London, UK. His new project will involve readymade public addresses, singing, shouting and some litigation. Bill will also include some recent work that he made for the Bienal do Asuncion in Paraguay last year that was made for airports and train stations.
