Dean Drever is included in Among Nations, Contemporary Aboriginal Art from Canada at the Lester B. Pearson Building in Ottawa.

Dean's Yellow Kodiaks which were exhibited at MKG127 in August, 2008 are included in the exhibition.

The exhibition was curated by Steven Loft, Curator in Residence of Indigenous Art at the National Gallery of Canada. The exhibition is presented as a partnership between the National Gallery and Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada and includes works by Shuvinai Ashoona, Dana Claxton, Roger Crait, Jim Logan, Nadia Myre, Daphne Odjig and several others.

An opening reception was held on June 23 and although he didn't take the time to look at the exhibition, the PM showed up for a photo-op.

I'm not sure how often he turns up at "rich galas subsidized by taxpayers" but I think he may have reconsidered his decision to pose for pictures with Dean had he been familiar with Dean's work, The Dean's List, 2007.

The exhibition continues until July 10 at 125 Sussex Drive in Ottawa.
