MKG127 at UNTITLED Miami Beach 2017 & UNTITLED San Francisco 2018

MKG127 is looking forward to participating in two upcoming UNTITLED, ART fairs. 

At UNTITLED Miami Beach, from December 6 - 10, 2017 (VIP preview Dec. 5), we will be in booth E12 with work by Micah AdamsJaime Angelopolous, Alan Belcher, and Roula Partheniou.

At UNTITLED San Francisco, from January 12 - 14, 2018 (VIP preview Jan. 11), we will in booth C23 with work by Alan Belcher, Adam David Brown, John Marriott, and Geoffrey Pugen.

Adam David Brown, Kristiina Lahde and Laurel Woodcock in 'Voices: artists on art'

Voices: artists on art curated by Yvonne Lammerich and Ian Carr-Harris opens at Artport Gallery at the Harbourfront Centre on September 23. Through video interviews, artists’ statements, artists’ projects and original documentation, “Voices: artists on art” builds on the 1967 exhibition “Sculpture ’67”, and  explores how artists imagine their practice and their contribution to the culture in which they live.

Adam David Brown and Kristiina Lahde will have interviews featured in the exhibition, and artwork by Laurel Woodcock will be on display in the vitrines adjacent to the main gallery space. 

There will be an opening reception on Thursday, September 28, 7–10pm. 

The exhibition will continue until  December 22, 2017.

Gwen MacGregor in LEGACIES at The Robert McLaughlin Gallery

Work by Gwen MacGregor  is included in the exhibition LEGACIES, which opened at The Robert McLaughlin Gallery  on September 9. There will be a reception and catalogue launch on Friday, October 6, from 7-10pm as well as an artist talk on Sunday, November 5, from 1-2pm.The exhibition continues until January 14, 2018.

Roula Partheniou and Dave Dyment in 'The Closer Together Things Are' at UWAG




The Closer Together Things Are, curated by Shannon Anderson and Jay Wilson opens  at the University of Waterloo Art Gallery on September 14th, with a reception from 5 to 8pm.

Roula Partheniou’s  project Twofold is included in the exhibition as well as a collaboration by Partheniou and Micah Lexier called Works, Works 1, Twice. A collaboration by Dave Dyment and Lexier is also included in the exhibition. 

The exhibition will continue at UWAG until October 28, 2017, after which it will be travelling across Canada throughout 2018. The Closer Together Things Are can be seen at Owens Art Gallery in Sackville, NB from January 12 – February 21, 2018, at Saint Mary’s University Art Gallery in Halifax, NS, from April 7 – May 27, 2018 as well as at Southern Alberta Art Gallery in Lethbridge, AB, from June 29 – September 2, 2018.

MOMENTA will present Jayce Salloum’s solo exhibition location/dis-location(s): beyond the pale at Musée McCord opening September 6th. Salloum’s exhibition will continue until November 12th, 2017. 


Work by Risa Horowitz is included in MOMENTA’s central group exhibition at Galerie de L’UQAM, opening September 7th and continuing on until October 15, 2017.

Roula Partheniou’s solo exhibition Odd Jobs opened at Arroniz Arte Contemporaneo in Mexico City on September 2nd. The exhibition will continue until October 28, 2017.

SHAKE -n- MAKE mural at Hamilton Artists Inc.


A new mural by SHAKE -n- MAKE collective (Liss Platt and Claudia Manley) entitled Domestic BrewCraft Beer Garden is now on display on the Cannon Project Wall at Hamilton Artists Inc. in Hamilton, Ontario until May 2018. 
Their accompanying site-specific installation at Hamilton Artists Inc. will open August 31, 2017.

Roula Partheniou in 'La Chose En Soi' at Musée régional de Rimouski

Work by Roula Partheniou is included in the exhibition La Chose En Soi  (The State of Things), curated by Ève De Garie-Lamanque at Musee regional de Rimouski, in Rimouski, Quebec. La Chose En Soi  also includes work by  Michel de Broin, Micah Lexier , and Kristin Nelson among others. The exhibition opens June 11th and runs until September 24th, 2017.

Jayce Salloum at the National Gallery of Canada

Jayce Salloum is part of the exhibition 'Photography in Canada: 1960 - 2000' at the National Gallery of Canada from 7 April to 17 September, 2017. The exhibition brings together more than 100 works by 71 different artists, including Edward Burtynsky, Lynne Cohen, Michael Snow, and Jeff Wall.

Liss Platt at McMaster Museum of Art


Liss Platt : A Constant Decade at McMaster Museum of Art will run from 4 May - 19 August, 2017. The exhibition features an extensive retrospective of Platt's Constant photographic series and related video works made from 2006 - 2016. To accompany the exhibition, there will be a reception and artist talk on June 4, from 2-4pm at b contemporary gallery, 226 James St. N. in Hamilton.
