Bill Burns at the Royal Ontario Museum

Bill Burns' Great Goat Milking takes place at 1 & 3 PM today at the Royal Ontario Museum. On December 4, the Dogs and Boats and Airplanes Choir will debut The Great Chorus,  a libretto inspired by the ROM’s collections.

Gwen MacGregor in Regina

Gwen MacGregor is showing a new version of a 2013 work created in collaboration with Workparty titled The Little People as part of Pop Up Downtown in Regina. The work will be on view in storefronts beginning Thursday September 15, and will run until the end of the year. The project was carried out in consultation with Colonialism No More.

Dave Dyment at Gagosian Gallery

Dave Dyment will be part of the exhibition “Ed Ruscha Books & Co.,” at Gagosian Gallery's Beverly Hills location from July 28 - Sept 9 (opening July 28, 6-8pm). The exhibition will include Dyment's book 'Every Building in the Sunset Strip' which chronicles stories about the history of every location photographed in Ruscha's original 1966 publication 'Every Building on the Sunset Strip'.

Bill Burns Busy in Europe



This summer, Bill Burns will be working on three new projects in Amsterdam, Barcelona and London.

The first event is in Amsterdam, where Bill's work will be on the covers and throughout two issues of Kunstlicht. Based on the theme of the artists' personae, the double issues will be launched on May 18th at the Poetry Theatre Purdu, Amsterdam.

Bill is spending July as an Artist-in-Residence at the Davis Museum in Barcelona. The Museum combines the idea of ready-made and that of a cultural institution. He will be going research about contemporary networks related to post war avant-garde traditions. Bill has done a previous project with Davis Museum, which can be seen here.

Finally in August, Bill will be producing a series of new works for the Wavelength radio on Resonance FM in London, UK. His new project will involve readymade public addresses, singing, shouting and some litigation. Bill will also include some recent work that he made for the Bienal do Asuncion in Paraguay last year that was made for airports and train stations.

Geoffrey Pugen included in Mercer Multiplier


Geoffrey Pugen is one of 25 artists included in Mercer Multiplier, a benefit for Mercer Union. Each artist has donated a work on paper in an edition of 5, and a ticket guarantees you one of the works to be selected by a numbered draw on the night of the event.

Mercer Multiplier is on Wednesday, May 11th at 6pm.
